Michael Desrosiers, originally from Arlington, Texas and currently based in Bangkok, Thailand, has been the co-host of the Attempt Adventure Podcast since its inception. A world traveler, adventurer, outdoors enthusiast, educator, and spicy food aficionado, Michael brings a unique perspective to the show from Bangkok, where he has lived and worked since 2013. A passionate traveler, Michael has explored East and Southeast Asia extensively.
Michael’s hobbies include birding, trekking, camping, adventure photography, museum tours, urban exploration, and embracing the vibrant cultures of the world.
Kyndra Johnson
Co-host, Colorado, USA
Kyndra is an adventurer and explorer based in Fort Collins, Colorado. She has traveled to 17 countries, lived abroad in two, and has spent time teaching English overseas. Her experiences have shaped her perspective on the world, deepening her appreciation for new cultures, meaningful connections, and the diverse landscapes that make each place unique.
Passionate about the outdoors, Kyndra seeks adventure in every form, whether hiking remote trails, paddling wild rivers, or summiting rugged peaks. Her goal is to inspire others to step beyond their comfort zones and fully engage with the world around them. When not on the road, she can be found hiking 14ers, rafting, snowboarding, and discovering great food and authentic connections.
James Barrett
Executive Producer, Colorado, USA
James Barrett is the Executive Producer of the Attempt Adventure Podcast and the co-host of the first three seasons of the show.
A lover of the outdoors and an avid explorer, James enjoys uncovering natural beauty and hidden gems across the United States.
James’ interests include hiking, climbing, SCUBA diving, cooking, exploring mountains and oceans, discovering new cultures, tabletop role-playing games, and all things nerdy.
